Funky, ripe fruit on the nose but get more of the signature herbal Cab Franc flavors on palate for a change. Awesome (and surprisingly rich) mouthfeel. Exceeded expectations; surprised at the low ratings!

Cranberry, pencil shavings, Beaujolais bright fruit, floral, hint of anise and dried herb earthiness on the nose. Unmistakable pencil lead shavings on the palate, with cherry, rhubarb, tart raspberry, cran/cherry, touch of earthy steaminess and very minor oak spice. Fun wine, great with food.

May 29th, 2015loved it. Dark stewy fruits on the nose leading to uplift of strawberry and sunlight, with light tobacco chewy late notes. Tastes very much of its place; sunny and easy. Not overly serious, but winks with knowledge of its lineage...the one that escaped the chateau for western vistas and early morning fog pre-surf.
