2000 vintage. Fun stuff- sour, tart, dried tobacco and iodine, with cured salame piccante and sage.

Sep 20th, 20162003. Spicy, plummy, dense, dark, oaky, acidity surprising for an 03, long. Nice wine however a bit overoaked for my tastes and disappointingly "unfriulian" (but the winemaker is Tuscan and most likely some of the wine as well)

Needs a bit of time to blow the age stink off… the shows ripe dark fruit, some kirsch, but also some age sowing with balsamic notes, a bit leather & roast.
On the palate this is not shy, full bodied, quite powerful, with still quite a tannic frame. Big, rich & ageing… which actually makes it interesting.
Quite nice with a simple barbecue.

Its ok, crappy cork, fading quickly, red fruit, refosco/merlot, not much finish, opened with some grip 15 minutes later it's gone. Still pleasant, wouldn't save it.

Most expensive bottle at Dicicco's in Reunion CO.
