Spices, and black pepper? Maybe herby. Nice red & Black cherries, minerals, baking spices & good acid. A food wine.

Wow. Amazing. It started out seeming light and unremarkable but first the nose opened up and then the rest of it. Mouth filling, long-lasting. Great with goat cheese salad, ceviche, and fish dishes. ABV perfect at 12.3. Perfect balance and acidity. At Passionfish, excellent restaurant in Pacific Grove CA.

May 13th, 2017Green-ish golden intensity in the glass. Sautéed greens // yeasty-cheesy // broccoli // Granny Smith Apple skin // acid // more apple // oak is very subtle (neutral oak fermentation) but welcome for its added softness. Grüvy ✌️

Cool climate Gruner from Santa Cruz. More tart grapefruit than New Zealand Sauvignon blanc. A refreshing sea salt note on the finish. Great bottle to start thanksgiving.
