Beguiling, beautiful. Strawberries with a vivid strawberry color. Incredibly floral of roses. So much so that it carries over to the palate in a way I’ve never experienced. Not rose water, but as if I had a rose petal on my tongue. The finish lasts forever, even as a perfume in the nose.

Deep garnet. Big berry nose. The aged nature of this one, soften all of the flavors into a mix of pleasure on the palette. Raisins, figs, cigar.

Purchased on release, direct. Has been on my short list to open for awhile, but hadn't found the right occasion. Finally decided opening it IS the occasion, so Monday seemed good enough.

Perfectly showing its age, with a distinct aroma that on the surface is a beautiful chord of petrichor. With some further coaxing and some concentration the underlying elements begin to show. Smoldering forest floor leads the way to kirsch, asphalt, garrigue, and herbes de Provence. This really shows off Trevisan's talent to make balanced wines, which is especially noteworthy considering his neighborhood. His restraint paid dividends with this beauty. So happy I waited for this one.

A Paso Robles blend of 71% Grenache, 12% Syrah, 9% Cinsault and 8% Mourvèdre. Alcohol sits at 15.8%
This wine has a really pretty nose that sports a floral cherry sense. On the palate is expansive dark fruit with savory touches of leather and cigar. Great tannins show well in this big and brawny wine.
