2021 is seemingly turning into the year of Champagne for me and I gotta say, I could get used to this. Lilbert et Fils BdB GC NV comes in a rather unassuming package but more than makes up for it in substance. The nose is distinctive with aromas of slightly under ripe Taleggio and apples. On the palate, apples and citrus with lovely, persistent acid. Don’t sleep on this.

Plush loveliness. Champagne. Cramant is the village not the method. So much classic brioche/lemon brightness but a lower pressure renders frigging a velvet bed? I don’t know. This wine is crazily wunderbar.

This is an awesome value, delicious Champagne! Has the intoxicating brioche aromatics while maintaining fresh, bright orchard fruit flavors and falls delicately on the palate
