Always like Lewis but this 09 reserve is huge. Dont get me wrong, it was Delicious , decant for almost two hours. Massive black fruit, blackberry liquor, but very raisinated, port like and booze at min 15.5. Def disjointed...

Still youthful but massive and intense missing the freshness I crave in the very best Napa wines with age

Intoxicating nose of a very high end Napa Cab. Plenty of legs left to it but still very smooth going down. Heavy but delicious. Super ripe assorted berries and almost evolving to a black raspberry. A sip disappears quickly on the tongue - leaving you reaching for the glass before you know it.

The nose is actually quite unassuming, and doesn't hint at what is about to hit your palate. The first impression is, bizarrely enough, of banana, red fruit, and just a hint of yellow peach. The finish is long long long already, and soft as velvet. This is going to be a monster wine when it starts peaking in ~2020.

Very dense on the nose, thick with dark fruit, cedar, spice, herbs and oak. More herbal than expected on the palate (2011!). Just a baby, and wound up.
