California Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

Good fruit, nice wine, although a bit nondescript. Not wanting to define itself, maybe a bit more time in bottle? Been rather underwhelmed by what I've had from this producer in this 2009 vintage.

Deep dark foreboding wine. Blueberry, espresso, black plum, bay leaf. Has improved greatly with time in bottle.

Since this is the last bottle and no longer distributed in Chicago (sadly), it was an enjoyable run.

Good balance of fruit and tannin. Nice aroma. Wasn’t so impressed with last bottle of 2009, but this bottle really opened up and got very good. Was great the 2nd night too. Should stock up on some more.

It is definitely tasting like an older wine after 10 years. More muted and subtle. Still pleasant. Oaky and moldy aroma. Muted fruit, but it still breaks through.

A bit underwhelmed. Tons of light red fruit, but lacking depth, precision, earth, acid, a long finish, and all the other things I like. Not oaky, though.

Great bottle!
