In a good place and much to admire. Opaque, glass staining fruit, yet surprisingly lithe and nimble on the palate. Youthful, but not overtly exuberant nor fatiguing.

Okay, our last Syrah for the evening. Pitching Barossa against Walla Walla and Northern Rhône’s Cornas region. Very much old country style. Super vibrant, spicy, narrow.

That’s a pretty surprise. I wouldn’t say it snuck its way into the lineup. Ribs from the Big Green Egg and Cornas is a smart choice. Had a Condrieu from this trio a couple months ago. Proper.
