Dec 24th, 2016I'm not a huge fan of the 2012 vintage: too ripe. Deeply extracted wine with deep dark cherry and plum notes and a hint of smoke. Soft, ripe, concentrated fruit, fine tannins. I want more nuance and less fruit. I prefer both 2011 and 2013.

Lacking a bit of complexity and tastes almost jammy. Still balanced though, should drink a bit younger.

the 2012 is a much better wine and this reflects a better vintage. Tastes of cherry and strawberry and a smooth finish with a good feel in the mouth.
