Apr 18th, 2023Eric Lemelson planted his first vineyard in 1995, 5 years after moving to a Yamhill County farm from Portland, where he had lived since 1979. Two years later, he planted an additional 30 acres of Pinot Noir, the first vintage (1999) of Pinot Noir was released in October 2001. Ruby with vibrant red fruit aromas and gentle spice. Lemelson Vineyards Pinot Noir 2017: Light/Medium body. Soft tannin structure. Vibrant red fruit aromas. Strawberry, cherry & pomegranate flavors with notes of baking spices, vanilla, oak & earth. Smooth, dry finish. For me, this was a pure, bright & harmonious Oregon Pinot; one that I would definitely recommend and/or drink again. Perfectly paired this wine with a delicious, 4 course meal. Truth be told, this was bottle 1 of 3 of this evening! Cheers🍷
