A Margaret River-producer from the beginning, whose inception was coached by Mondavi; deep purple; nose of dark mulberry, black currant, ripe cherries, black pepper, anise and nutmeg; showing great on the palate, forceful yet elegant, with tannins, ripe fruit, acid levels and alcohol in good harmony, and a long dry finish. Promising future.

Dark violet. Oak-accented black and blue fruit flavors are complemented by hints of woodsmoke, espresso and baking spices. Round and fleshy in the mouth, offering appealingly sweet blackberry and cherry-vanilla flavors that firm up on the back half. Closes long and smooth, with velvety tannins and repeating smoke and blue fruit notes. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, July 2021)

White pepper, cedar, tar, blueberry, and plum. Medium tannin and body with high acidity. Not your typical Aussie Shiraz but more elegant and restrained.

Mid Crimson. Notes of cherry and a little black pepper and spice. A straightforward wine with little complexity. Has the stuffing to cellar short term but will just become a little more savoury. Still not convinced about Shiraz in Margaret River.

Cracked black pepper, blackberries and game. Clean as a whistle and perfectly balanced but with a touch of vanilla protruding just a bit too much. Maybe another 6-12 months will allow that element to blend in.
