Great nose, not too acidic, not too dry or heavy.

unusual rose blend from bandol. 40% cinsault, 40% grenache, 20% mourvedre. didn’t exactly mesh with my palate, didn’t find a delicious factor here but definitely instructive to try this kind of alternative spin on a rose blend. a lot bigger bodied than most rose.

The biggest, baddest Rose I've had so far this season! 40% Cinsault provided the fragrance, 40% Grenache the fleshy, fruity texture and 20% Mourvedre the spicy brooding notes.
The back label mentions a "light brilliant pink colour (check) with bluish hues" (check, which I've never seen before, but dang it there it was)!
There's typical red berry notes but also some blackberry flavors ( Mourvedre maybe)?? Anyhoot, this is not the easy poolside sipper for me. Le Pont begs for food and the pasta we had with it was right on time!
