Value priced Chinon not quite getting it done. Some fruit but on the green side (and I like green). Almost a bit bitter.

Here's a terrific QPR Chinon that delivers immediately on opening and develops in the glass. No rusticity here and certainly no over the top tobacco leaf. About as refreshing as a wine can be. (Give it a little chill to really make it pop.)
😋😋😋

Spicy jalapeño dominates the nose at first, picking up blackberry leaf, incense, and herbed toast with air. The palate is simpler and still quite savory, with capsicum flavors again at the fore. Pretty decent.

Pretty damn smooth, light like a Pinot, shocked that it's so inexpensive- which makes me love it even more.

At around $10 pretty damn hard to have a bad word for this Chinon. Pull and pour and serve it with a potato/rosemary pizza. (If you are into wine sauces buy a case.)

Cherries, peppercorn, African violets, and clove on the nose. Bright upon the entry, with ripe cherries and blackberries which give way to purple plums and early summer blueberries. Overall soft and not overly complex, but great for a Saturday night and pizza.

A bit barnyard-y...lots of acid (which I like, but beware if you don't). Could be an everyday wine with its amazing value.
