Les Safres Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

Quite delicious. Focused, detailed, elegantly textured and lengthy. High toned perfume became more expressive with air.

A great wine from North Berkeley Imports. Great vintage too.

Quit good, tobacco and earth. Started very good but then dissipated slightly. Went well with roasted duck.

2020 vintage. Squarely in the center of the CDP flavors, fruit and structure chart/graph.

Cherries on the nose
Amazing initial impressions. Black currants, dark cherry. A little bit of spice. Very juicy. Tannins are pretty subdued, and not very acidic. Medium to full body. A little sweet, probably due to the fruit.

Highly drinkable while still having a fair amount of complexity.

Nice cdp. The abv was pretty high and only slightly noticeable. Dark fruit explodes upfront with decent finish.
