Very classic and less geosimin/earthy components to the wine than some other cru/younger wines I've tasted from them recently. I like these at the 5-10 years from harvest stage and not younger when they are closed and the fruit is locked behind the soil times.

Impressive structure - red currant, dark cherries, piercing mineral undertone. Built for the long haul.

This guy needs some age for epic (for Beaujolais) tannins. It is aggressive which makes sense for windmill wine. And yet there is an elegance. I'm so glad I got two bottles so I can try it again in a year or so and see what happens. Oh the fun of having living breathing beverages in your wine fridge!

Moderate ruby red in color. Raspberry, red currants, and lovely floral notes on the nose. Light bodied on the palate with tart red fruit, prominent minerality, surprising tannic spine, and nice length at 13% alcohol. This is a serious wine at a modest price.
