Had a few prior vintages, ok but not a fan of this Crianza level. Ruby with dark fruit aromas and big spicy notes. On the palate blackberry flavor with notes of black pepper and vanilla. Savory, grainy tannins on medium finish ending with earthy herb notes. Ok for price but look for something better. Tasting Sample.

Very nice Crianza for the value. More herbaceous, and more traditional for Rioja. I think I'll like the Reserva more. Went extremely well with Argentinian steak with chimichurri, and roasted veggies!

Good dinner wine but wouldn’t drink on its own. Needs at least 30 minutes of decanting.
