Latimer Ranch
Russian River Valley Chardonnay
From the Chalk Hill winery, medium lemon color with aromas of white flesh fruits and spicy notes. On the palate, flavors of apple and pineapple with creamy butter notes (too much MLF) and off balance acidity. Medium finish ending with fruit, spice and butter biscuits. Drink now, but I would pass altogether. A bit pricey.

Dec 15th, 2023Medium yellow hue, almost gold. Some tears forming, but not as much as some oaked chardonnays.
Vanilla, butterscotch, Caramel, baked bread. The oak notes are really in control. Some sweet apple, peach, very faint citrus.
Low acidity, balanced sugar, not too sweet, huge mouthfeel, lingers a long time. Lots of alcohol in the back

Fresh vinilla bean on the nose sweet up front that finishes nicely with lingering tart green apple

Sep 18th, 2023Tastes oxidized. Can’t imagine it went bad in four years. If this was intended it sucks.

Apr 27th, 2022I mean, it's good. But it's not $25 good. I also have the 2018 to try which is $21 so... We'll see. This wasn't bad by any means, it's just overpriced imo.
