From two old vine sites in Vertus, this has been one of my favorites for more than a decade. The vintage, 2009 is on the back label. It is fermented in large, old wood. While this wine has no dosage it has the ripeness to achieve balance. A big Chassagne mouthfeel and a long chalky finish!

Not a bad way to start a sales meeting. The '09s have so much potential for midterm cellaring. Or just pop them now. So precise and chalky, then the rich fruit pushes through. #valkyrieselections #swc
