Landmark Vineyards
Steel Plow Syrah
$18 bucks in the bargain bin of a local packie. Band aid blew off revealing loads of earthy funk and deep blackberry fruit. Still tastes youthful, with some gritty tannin (maybe imperfect decanting on my part) and zingy acids coming through. Medium long finish. Very distinctive. Worth the flyer.

Jan 18th, 2015Hermitage in sonoma. Liquid smoke and grilled game on the nose. Transitions well to portobello, earth and smoked ham. Beautiful still has time. Love it.

Apr 19th, 2015Very Rhonelike. Sweaty feet on the nose, transitioning to barnyard and smoked meat on the palate. Medium to full bodied, but I wish it had a bit more weight. Fantastic, but not for everyone. This needs to be your thing.
