Always an exotic presentation.
Passion fruit and guava on the palate. Chased by pineapple and citrus fruits (limes) on the palate. Still possesses zippy acidity, and subtle minerality. A textbook expression for the varietal.

Great Napa SB. Barrel Fermented for 2 weeks and oak then put in stainless. The brief encounter with oak gives it a very nice roundness.

Melon, peaches, stone fruit. Huge amount of energy on day 2. Has more runway ahead of it, but I think it's peaking now.

This is a solid SB. Nice, clean zesty notes on the nose - grapefruit, perhaps.
Good texture and weight on the palette. Along with the citrus fruits, I detect almonds, which suggest some wood treatment along the way. I also detect signs of gray hair, indicating that the 13's need to be consumed. This does not challenge the quality of their reds, neither does it come close to Bevan.

If all Sauvignon Blanc tasted like this, I'd drink it every day. Seriously, is there a hotter winery in Napa right now than Lail?

Nov 12th, 2015Amazing...For the most part it's crisp on the palate but just before it finishes crisp, there's a hint of roundness and a touch of green. For me, this is perfect! Hallelujah!!! Very typical 2013. It pops!
