They don’t make a crappy wine. I mean seriously.

Stunning, one of the most elegant and balanced Napa Cabs I've had all year.

My #FridayCabernetfix

Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, sweet plums, blueberries, violets, black currants, cedar, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, alcohol, peppercorn and coffee.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, chocolates, light vegetables, mocha, peppercorn, leather and earth.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is another great Napa Cabernet. Well balanced and a little subdued, yet still showing Napa Cabernet characteristics. Not too extracted, which is nice to see.

This is from a great vintage, but still needs a few more years to become its own, although delicious now. A good sipping to share with friends.

Teeth staining color, so not a good choice for a first date.

Good by itself or with food. Good right out of the bottle, but definitely better after a couple of hours of airtime.

Thank you Barry for sharing.

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in 85% New French oak barrels for 22 months.

14.2% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$100.

Densely floral on the nose. Mostly violets and roses. Chocolate, tobacco, blackberry preserves, dried cherries, mint, anise, bay spices, and a touch of smoke. Howell mountain really emerges on the palette. Wonderfully integrated tannins. Higher in acid, but still opulent. Extremely earth driven, and beautiful, finish. This is a rich, well balanced for the appellation, and superbly elegant wine.

Surprising smooth and drinkable. Big decadent blackberry, ripe plums, and leathery cedar.
