Jun 21st, 2017Big, full bodied Barbera with plenty of flesh and ripeness. Juicy upfront with a surprising amount of acid that rips across the back. Sure maybe a little hot but totally enjoyable when the mood calls for an in your face wine. Primary with gobs of cherry pie filling, sweet wood, graphite, and cocoa powder notes. I think it would enjoy with some more air

Dec 30th, 2016Still very much alive and showing loads of floral elements, alongside the usual cherry scented aromas and flavors, complemented by subtle oak and a dash of developed character.

Mar 30th, 2023Excellent, dry Barbera D' Asti Superiore. 2017 vintage. Had at a restaurant in Austin, great "find". Again, Superiore (pronounced "Super- roar-e", this is not Spanish). Big and fairly bold for a Barbera, aromatic and flavorful purple dark berry soft smooth palate balanced balanced light tannins. Didn't taste all those weird things some peeps did...maybe more later if wine can be found for a next time ...will buy again when at Osteria 68 Degrees.
