2006 vintage. Still inky. Still young.

Dark, brooding, oak-influenced. Wouldn't have pegged this as Syrah.

Drinking great, still had a ton of life left in it, it was right in between that curve of young wine starting to show some age.

2005 - Napa Valley Syrah - La Sirena Wine. Boy this was the shocker of the night for me. Opened it immediately tasted and was ehhh. But wow as the night progressed it OPENED Beautifully. It took awhile but at the end of the night I grabbed this one to take home with us.

The big guy. Opened this magnum for the holiday weekend and drank over three days. At 20 years old, it seemed like its best days were behind it but there were still times where the glory would shine through. Was fun to drink and next up are the 2003 and 2005’s to try!

The start of the weekend. 2005 vintage Drinking this in Shanghai. This wine is like entering a castle- strong, elegant and built to last. Dark plum , tar - silky smooth now Thanks Heidi! This wine does bring me great joy!

Really liked this. Big and bold, tasty, but with great balance. A mix of fruit up front - cherry, blueberry, currants and maybe a dash of pepper. Long & smooth finish. Yum.

Opened yesterday and no one could handle it. 24 hours later, served with pasta and tomato/vegetable sauce was still fierce, big and solid, dark plum, tar.- great with the food. 2005 vintage, still has some legs.

Great nose. Lacking in fruit early but opened up and added flavor after 45 minutes. Good wine. Not sure I'd pay $65 for it, but at $40 would be a good value.
