11 yrs on a Merlot oriented Bordeaux blend. Very sweet fruits set in integrated tannins, with plenty of damp earth & dark red fruit notes. Utterly perfect w my home boys roast chicken.

Deep garnet red with a touch of ruby. Tight on the nose with some woody elements, dried cherries and minerality. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium bodied. A touch of parchment on the palate, dark dried berries, and a light touch of cocoa. Medium length finish. Drink till 2019.

I was intrigued by this because I was looking for right bank Bordeaux, and because it was under $30 for a nearly 10-year old bottle. Considering the price it’s pretty good. Definitely starting to get some tertiary notes. Mushroom, leather, and forest floor. Fairly easy drinking with some black fruit and faint tannins. A good quality:value wine from Bordeaux.
