$20 was a lot for the 78 on release. Showing really well now, earthy-funky in the best way. Plums and dried cherries, not much tannin but enough grip remains tip make the wines presence felt.

Massive nose of cherries and (black?) shoe polish and cinnamon. I had no idea shoe polish was so alluring.
Initially brown-tinged red. Thirty mins of air turned it all a beautiful limpid red with clear rim, bricked orange but no more brown. Totally alive. Huge mouthfeel, thrilling wine.
