I love this wine. So fragrant, with crushed minerally gravel and ripe but tart cherry, and resiny spice. A bit broader and more savory in the mouth than the nose would suggest, but still in total equilibrium. Full, but with enough acidity to enliven it. Perfect accompaniment to Peposo (look it up).

Utterly classic Brunello. You’ll have to get dark Cabernello from other places. Not me. I only work with 3 Brunello and each one is more classic than the next. Anyway. Gorgeous and precise nose. Ver y lifted and pure. Amazing essence of ripe cherries. Killer. Like a perfume. Palate is like a laser. So focused with gorgeous puffy cloud-like tannins and lovely sweet and deep cherry fruit. Long finish with some unresolved tannin that will integrate with age.

Black currant with a bit spicy aroma. Black and blue berry. Still have lots of acid. 2nd day, it should be real taste. Sweetness can be felt with enough tanning, acidity and fruitiness. 8.8 for 1st day, 9.0 for 2nd day @5400, Amazon-JH, 181123-190101

A beautifully balanced wine. With air, nose throws out sweet, vibrant, oozy cherries and subtle crushed stone minerality. Notes of new leather and baking spice. More minerally than fruity in the mouth, with loads of soft tannin and very good acidity. Palate seems like it needs a little time to integrate. I bet this improves over the next 5 years or so. The 9.1 is a 9.1+
