At nearly 30 years old, this wine was holding up surprisingly well. Dried red fruit, leather, and good acidity. My Dad gave me this bottle for my 12th birthday and it's amazing that it has lasted so long, and was still very enjoyable.

1986 La Jota Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain
ハウエル・マウンテンの高台に位置するラ・ホタは冷涼気候でナパの中で最もボルドーに近い地形らしい。確かに糖度が低く後味に酸が残るタイプだが妙な苦味があり、仕上がりはイマイチかなぁ。
