May 4th, 2018Needs to decant for a bit as the alcohol content is quite strong, but redeems itself with some yummy raisins and blackberries. Falls off too quickly at the end; screw top makes it easy to see if it might be better tomorrow.

That sort of masochistic pursuit of value deserves to be pointed out. And at $20, this is indeed a value. The bouquet intertwines ripe black cherry, richly spiced potpourri, and loam. The nose follows through in a juicy style on the palate, but with a notable measure of balance. I bought a lot of this, so maybe Greg can roast a pig tonight.

Mar 23rd, 2017Supple red fruit, dried flowers, and forest floor, with graceful tannins and acidity.
Fruit sourced from RRV and Mendocino county. The best $20 Pinot I can remember.
