The tannins are a wee bit rough at first, but there's nice bright red fruit. Quite a juicy nose. More vanilla and chocolate undertones come to say "howdy" as it opens up a little. Hey, as long as it's a fan of this porterhouse I just grilled, I'll be a happy Matts.

Update: they're pretty agreeable playmates. The chocolate and oak just keep on building. Yeeha!
