Very deep nearly opaque red. Intense color and saturation. Some bell pepper, white pepper, and dried rosemary on the nose. Delicious blue fruits on the palate, mainly blackberry. Quite hot with the ALC-- Medium+. Medium acidity. Medium+ bodied. Definitely a wine for beef. Tannins are medium but there is a bitterness on the finish--which continues to deliver massive fruit. It's very good wine, that will be great in several years

Blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, floral spice and smoky cedar notes, aged 12 months in 60% new barrels. On the palate flavors of fresh blackberry and black cherry with cacao, tobacco, licorice and smoky spice. Fine grainy tannins, well balanced on long finish, ending with fruit, cedar, smoke and earthy mineral character. Very nice, will age well but wait a few more years to really enjoy!

One of the better 2nd’s I’ve had. Slightly fruit forward in a drink now style. Soft tannins and good acidity for that easy drinking brightness.

Mar 9th, 2026Delicious. Smells strongly of dark fruits and also a bit herbal. More body than the Burgundy we tasted, and I like this better. It tasted more complex and more tannic. Definitely dark fruits on the palate, but made subtle by a mineral and almost savory note. Would recommend.

Mar 5th, 2026Was dark throughout the whole glass. Smelled and tasted like nutmeg and clove.

Mar 5th, 2026Opened 6 hours prior and decanted for 3. Could have taken more air for sure - one to try again in a few years. For now this is quite full, deep and purple, would definitely have guessed a new world producer (though someone with old world sensibilities) but the depth of earth and mineral character on the finish does lead you back to Bordeaux and to St Julien specifically. Very enjoyable structure, depth of fruit, and acid. Perfect pairing with a double R ranch strip steak.
