L. Mawby Cremant Classic NV, Leelanau Peninsula, Michigan. Disgorged June 2008. Nice bottle age notes. Dried citrus peel, toasted almond, brioche. Vibrant but soft bubbles. Lingering finish. Many would think this was champagne if tasted blindly. #wine #champagne #michigan #sommelier #restaurant

normally this wine is my jam, but this batch is super tart, even by my standards.

Somewhere between their BdN and their BdB in quality. Somehow Larry is making bubbles that are consistently better than almost anything in California or France and at a fraction of the price.

Really love this! Crisp, a little tarte, will pair great with seafood

Best non-European sparkler vintner. Hint of tartness with nutty flavors. Yum.

A spur of the moment visit by good friends prompted the pouring of the pale golden-hued NV L Mawby Brut Sparkling Vignoles 'Crémant Classic'. Disgorged in Oct. '12, this sparkler displayed lively effervescence of medium-small bubbles exploding with aromas of lemon cream pie, baked bread and yellow apple with smoked almond notes. Crisp, but not tart, flavors tingled the tongue with refreshing citrus zest accents on the finish.
