This is 1970s old school barrel-fermented SB. Lots of toast and butter out-competing lively SB tropical fruit and herbal scents. Rich and balanced in the mouth. The way to enjoy this wine is to have no expectations that it will be showcasing any varietal character, and if you can get to that frame of mind it’s a real throwback, and pretty enjoyable in a nostalgic way.
