A VERY BIG cab, on the nose I get a Bordeaux dustiness with a little Mexican vanilla, cassis, and faint cedar. The palate is very smooth with tons of dark fruit, vanilla, mouth coating. Initially the wine finished a little hot, after hour decant tannins started integrating and didn't have the heat.

Really great wine. Full bodied with good long lasting structure. Nice fruit forward yet balanced. Modest tannins. Paired well tonight with Surf and Turf!

Blackberry, raspberry preserves, licorice, mocha, mossy earth, oak, plum and hints of eucalyptus. Great structure and well-integrated tannins.
