Inky in color with a reddish/ brick rim.

Beautiful nose of black currants, black cherries, cooked plums, sweet raspberries, tobacco, light cedar, licorice, chocolates, light alcohol, mediterranean spices, earth, black pepper and herbs.

Full-bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, currants, plums, cooked cherries, light cedar, earth, herbs, chocolates, peppercorn, tobacco leaf, mediterranean spices and dark coffee.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Franc based Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley. Fruit forward and rich. Complex with a nice mouthfeel, tangy and entertaining.

Feels like a Napa Merlot, and a little hot at the back of the throat.

Needed 4 hours of airtime to open up, so be patient.

I've had a few vintages of this wine, and it is definitely better with age.

This 10 year old Single Vineyard is drinking very well now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

Showing good structure, and good by itself or with food.

A blend of 66% Cabernet Franc, 26% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Sangiovese and 1% Petit Verdot.

15.9% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$150.

Sipping Fine Wine

In 1999, Jan and Bart founded Krupp Brothers, producing their first vintage: a Cabernet Sauvignon. A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec, 4% Merlot & 3% Petit Verdot, 28 months barrel aging, small 224 case production. Deep dark dense red with enticing fruit and herb floral aromas adding an underlying sweetness. Cherry, plum and blackberry flavors with tobacco and oak notes, some nuttiness. Refined big tannins on lingering complex finish ending with earthy herb and fruit. Needs more time to truly enjoy. Tasting Sample

Annual Big Taste of Fort Worth was last night. Huge selection of wines, but I’m just highlighting my favorites.

One of the more smooth/silky wines from start to finish I’ve had in some time. Mainly cab Sauv/Cab Franc (love these types of blends). Extremely dark in the glass. Fragrant nose of blueberries and toasted oak. Very clean and pure tasting...currant, plum, cassis, blueberries, chocolate covered dates. Acidity and tannic structure (semi lack-there-of) make me wonder how long it will last, but I’d be drinking these now anyways.

Frangrant and fruit-driven with aromas of cherry, blueberry and sage. Subtle herbaceous notes on the palate.

Gorgeous! A well balanced showing of Cab Sauv and Cab Franc.

First time with this wine - me likely - big bold beautiful - decanted for one hour - this does have a jimmy Durante nose on it - a real intoxicating one - drink the rest in another hour - i have to remember to breath as @Jody Scharf reminds me and remember the band Durant Durant as they say "Relax relax" - nice night for wine and smiles - love to 😁😬😬

Wow - don't hate on the 2011s. Blackberries, green bell pepper and chalk. Absolutely lovely.

Bold and wants to be noticed. Cab Franc is fighting it out with the oak for honors of most prominent aroma. Stewed berries, bell pepper and Stagecoach dust.

Krupp Bros wine 4/4. Wow!! Although listed as a Cab Sauv, this is actually a 77% Cab Franc 15% Merlot 8% Petite Verdot wine. Inky purple in the glass and offers pure elegance. They should call this wine Mr Velvet. Some spice on the nose with black cherry, blackberry and clove throughout the finish. Big drinker.
