Sep 4th, 20192004 and the color shows it's age, a mature golden color with a watery rim.
Petrol comes off the nose on first white, followed by beautiful lemon meringue, yellow apple and baked stone fruits, backed by a slight mineral note and tons of florality.
Palate is equal parts sweet and acid, blending together well and with a long finish.

Love this. Broad, rich stone fruits, sweet citrus zest, honeyed notes precisely balanced by a lively acid structure and stoniness. Would love to see with some age

Expressive nose; lemon and lime (Theise suggests soursop), full and rich, excellent acidity forming a balanced, grippy finish. A steal at under $19 on sale! Note: Rumpf has a lovely, large apt. available onsite.

Killer Nahe spätlese Riesling. Rich, complex, and concentrated, yet remains bright and refreshing. Nose of ripe lime, ripe apricot and mango, clean, wet slate minerality, ginger, some petrol funk, a bit of cherry blossom and beeswax, and some ever-so-subtle Thai basil freshness. The palate shows such pure minerality and fruit, like clean, slate-y nectarine juice, plus a touch of the ginger, beeswax, and Thai basil character that shows up in the nose. Intense, juicy acidity, with a perfect amount of RS. It certainly makes its presence known but not cloying whatsoever. Medium (-) body with great glycerine texture. Kruger-Rumpf wines are always so great, one of my favorite producers in the Nahe. Screams for a nice cheese plate. Would love to try some with some more age on it, I can tell this certainly could develop quite interestingly.
