May 29th, 2020Don’t sleep on this one. Smooth, silky, eloquent with hints of blackberry and subtle tannins. I see this wine aging well for at least 12-15 years but is pleasantly enjoyable now. Fruit forward Syrah.

Simple yet likable label design. Dark as night. Smells like fresh cooked rice and berries. Persian yellow rice. Or something like that. An aromatic grain with maybe some butter in it. Not quite the ‘bacon’ of some Syrah, but similar. Flavors are great. Berry compote and bitter greens with balsamic. Good cough syrup (is that a thing lol?!). This is an unapologetic big Syrah with lots of extracted tannin and a healthy bite, but it is very tasty.

A very nice balance of dryness and fruit. A good wine for me and my girlfriend, who prefers a little fruit in the palette.
