Thanks to @Mark Flesher for opening this as a side by side versus my 2016 Aubert Hudson. Same vintage, same vineyard source, very different wines. Whereas the Aubert was rich and powerful on both the nose and palate, this was decidedly more herbal on the nose with hay, herbal spices and underripe honeydew. Similar to the Aubert in how round and soft it was initially, but this one has less of the sweet fruit and toasted oak and in turn, has more sea spray, limestone, with added poached pear toward the middle and finish.
