Every time I think about not ordering any Cali Chard, I pull one of these from my cellar and change my mind. The Durrell ‘13 is ready to go... still some fruit and acidity, but why wait? This is truly a holiday season (cool weather) white wine, with baking spices, tropical fruit, limestone, high viscosity and 14.1% ABV. Should pair perfectly with a rich chicken dish or winter soup. Unctuous and rich, yet balanced.

Dec 5th, 2018This is a big surprise for being a wine as old as it is. The 2002 Durell is hardly advanced aromatically at all. It is a little bit deeper golden color but not what you would expect and the Indian spice aromas are just starting to open up but still pretty tightly wound.
