Weekly Wednesday wine committee. This week we had 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 3 reds, 1 dessert. All tasted blind as normal.
Much better luck with Kistler pinots than chards once you get past the 8-10yr mark. Cherry and blackberry tart, but the finish retains a small note of peppercorn. Some guessed right bank Bordeaux with a “bubblegum” note.

May 2nd, 2018Love the Kistler Pinot. I did not think the 02 was as good as the 01. Improved as it sat in the glass but still not as good as the 01. Interesting to see if it was just this bottle. Will see as I start going through my 02s.
