Vacqueyras Grenache Blend

Tasty. Classic. Good vakue. Not too blown out.

Medium ruby in color; raspberries, blueberries, and dried herbs on the nose; high acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like lavender, strawberry jam, black tea, and clay pots with a long finish. Nellie says it's ok and I like it.

Good value. Medium body, black fruit, some medium + tannins.

Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of lavender, cloves, and raspberries; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, medium tannins, high alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of blackberries, blueberries, red plums, and fresh asphalt with a long finish. This wine is a little hot, but complex and intense. Overall, I rate this wine as very good.

Open it up and it came across as hot, jammy, incredibly fruit forward, and just very fruit bomb in a bottle. Cork it and put it in the fridge and drank a glass two days later and it was a different wine. Much more subtle and nuanced with still fruit forward to a red right fruit, but *Now has an earthy nose of a little leather and a little smoke and forest floor. Probably would’ve been better the first day if it had been decanted and left for a few hours. 

Well made Vacqueyras by Guiiiaume Gonnet. Really decent Vacqueyras for $12 at Costco. Black fruit with a little red fruit, med + tannins and long finish. Good value and worth buying in quantity.

80 Grenache, 10 Syrah and 10 Mourvedre. Good value. Excellent value Vacqueyras. I bought a case for weeknight drinking.

Best value! All the attributes i like in red wine. Maybe a little too much fruit but drinkable for me.
