Received this as a gift, (thought it was a joke at first) looked at label closer and it was actually a French Champagne. I opened the bottle and the first sniff and sip was pleasant, and I said Wow, for $20, not bad….but, there is usually a but, after 5 minutes the Champagne just fell apart, it’s aromas and flavors just turned sour and out of balance. Of course maybe the bottle was not stored properly, etc., so I was generous with my 85 rating. I’ll search out another bottle and report back.

Drank 4/9/21.

Nose with yellow apple, and brioche. Well balanced with apple, pear, toasted wood, and a medium mousse. Medium finish.

An exceptional value for the region.

From magnum. Richer and definitely more complex than the 750ml. Ripe apple, peace and brioche. Long and creamy.

Clean, balanced, forward apple fruit, not yeasty/toasty enough for us, medium finish, good Champagne.
