Kirkland Signature
Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese
Very good Brunello for $20! Very typical flavors, not over done. Just lacking some complexity.

Dec 16th, 2022Probably now my favorite ~$20 #costco representation of a famous wine appellation. Pour medium+ body and clearly without heavy extraction in the glass. Lovely elegant dried cherries, sous bois, cremini mushroom, touch of dried roses and tar character on the nose. Pleasingly plush mouthfeel, yet it drinks lighter than the 14.5% ABV would suggest; bright acidity mid-palate. Finally, soft, seamless tannins and a long finish. Such a compelling QPR #brunellodimontalcino - trends to the elegant side of the BdM spectrum as opposed to the bold, oaky side.
