Very good Brunello for $20! Very typical flavors, not over done. Just lacking some complexity.

I’ve had other brunellos they always seemed over oxidized. This one was age well with the right amount of oxidation. Very good for the price. Brown edges on a clear ruby wine. Missing some of the middle complexity, but for the price it is a wonderful wine.

Cherries, raspberries and thyme. Needs food bring out it full flavor. Drank in 2022, needs to decant extensively

Probably now my favorite ~$20 #costco representation of a famous wine appellation. Pour medium+ body and clearly without heavy extraction in the glass. Lovely elegant dried cherries, sous bois, cremini mushroom, touch of dried roses and tar character on the nose. Pleasingly plush mouthfeel, yet it drinks lighter than the 14.5% ABV would suggest; bright acidity mid-palate. Finally, soft, seamless tannins and a long finish. Such a compelling QPR #brunellodimontalcino - trends to the elegant side of the BdM spectrum as opposed to the bold, oaky side.
