Ramnista Single Vineyard Xinomavro

Finally got this wine figured out . Took a case for me to realize what this wine tastes like.. oysters . This wine tastes like oysters ….. yes it red .

Got a case . 1 st bottle opened . I’ll decide how I feel after bottle 10

Vintage 2012 | Xinomavro shows its capacities after a lot of years in the cellar. Ten years in this case to show a combined spicyness and fruitiness in smell, leather, even some chocolate.

Earl Grey tea, cranberries, crunchy fall leaves. Really really nice

Oxidized. Bad bottle. Not typical of Ramnista.

Excellent. One of the best Greek reds I’ve had. Medium body with a beautiful ruby color. Fantastic nose of dried herbs, bright cherry and cola. It is clean but still very Greek. You can sense the rocky place from which is comes. I should’ve bought a case

Spicy and unique, somewhere between a Gamay and a Nebbiolo.

Big boys toys.
Face melting tannin with just, just enough fruit weight to be enjoyable.

Red and blue fruits, soil, stewed tomatoes, tar, very high tannins and very Nebbiolo like.
