Drinks similarly to Barolo, powerful and intense, violets, black currants, savory herbs and hints of earth. Needs a lot of time to open up.

Greek goodness, the flavors of the islands really come through, dried plums, fresh herbs, black olives, dusty tannins, tart salty finish, thinking they've had a little but of practice making wine that goes with their food...

Such elegance & harmony! Far from the harsh idea the grape name "acid black" conveys. Black olives, plums & spice.

Somewhat soft on the acid and tannin, not as great as I remember from last time around.

Interesting wine. Smelled as though it would have bright, fresh fruits and it had a little of that but it was dusty and full of minerality and quite a bit more tannins than I was expecting off the nose. Thought provoking wine.
