Yui Estate Bottled Napa Valley Cabernet Franc Merlot Rosé

Not my favorite grape varietals and especially not in a rose.

I’m a tough grader when it comes to Rosé - this was hitting a sweet spot with this palate.

15' Kenzo Yui Rose. As far as Rose goes this is a beast of a wine. This is not a wine I would pull out just to sip on. Front and middle of your palate are full of bright/ crisp Cabernet fruit. The acidity on the back of your palate... cheese plate please.

This was a little harsh on the palate at first, some tannin and bitter almond skin finish. Saignee method with Bordeaux grapes. Would not get outside of the tasting - steep price for not an excellent rose.

Brighter pink in color but not heavy with the fruit. Very refreshing with the sushi.

This was a nice wine that was easy to drink, had nose of citrus and dry grass, and flavors of citrus, orange, and strawberry.

Fuller body Rose

Cork was failing a bit, so we rescued it just in time.
