Our first single vineyard wine from Ken Wright having only tried the Willamette AVA Pinot before. That was intriguing but this is another level; can describe a good amount of it but it’s the X factor that really makes it - it’s captivating and just all around impressive. Fresh and brambly berries; blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, cherry, plus nutmeg and even a little anise. Fruit forward but showing restraint and balanced perfectly with both tannins and acidity. Acidity brings it all together and what so many new world wines are missing. “We have great ripe fruit, but this is still wine, after all.” Absolutely worth justifying treating yourself to this on occasion
