Sep 9th, 2020Monthly WTF wine group meet up.
Much more tart and spice fruit driven compared to the Spring Mtn. Blackberry and chalk on the nose...granite too. Lush on the palate! Wow. Black cherry tobacco, plum, and a streak of cherry tart. Not much blue fruit here. Very balanced. Thanks @Dan Fitzgerald

Sep 3rd, 2018Kelly Fleming's 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is a total knock-out. Dazzling in its richness and intensity, the 2015 delivers serious flavor intensity while retaining its classic sense of structure and place. Crème de cassis, plum, lavender and licorice build into the unctuous, full-throttle finish. The 2015 is a tour de force from Kelly Fleming and her brilliant winemaker Rebecca George, not to mention one of the finest wines of the vintage. Don't miss it. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, March 2018)

Apr 12th, 2018Briar notes mingle with barrel toast on the nose. Sweet blackberries and rich cherries on the palette. Tannins are mature, but still show some ripeness. Nice acidity, while the finish is sweet. Impressive.

Dec 28th, 2017Thanks again bud for sharing a beauty!! @David L !!!
I was very surprised by this bottle. I popped and poured without decanting since I didn't have time. It was phenomenal at 1st sip and evolved in the glass over the hour. Cherries, a little spice and a touch of oak. Definitely a vibrant and gorgeous wine that can be enjoyed young. Thanks bud!!!!

Very impressive showing. Rich, plush and dense. Finishes sweet. Lovely notes of kirsch and overripe cherries. Finishes with brown sugar - excellent.

Sep 5th, 2017It's still SNOWING! So what is one to do? Back to the cellar! Dark fruits, tobacco, brown sugar - smooth as hell. This is drinking great now with a little air. We had a prior vintage at the recommendation of the somm at Press in St Helena which was great - the '12 blows it away. Especially considering we had this after a Memento Mori! Great wine.
