12' Kelham Chardonnay. In a Bordeaux wine bottle🤔. Amazingly this is the current vintage. We've had a few of the Kelham wines in the past. These wines taste like nothing else coming out of the valley. I would've thought this was a combination of Rhone style white & Chardonnay mix? No... 100% Chardonnay?

The Palate - Unusual, in a very good way. Screams Honey ,crisp yellow apple skins, pineapples, banana peel. It's intertwined with stones, acid. "It's a Chardonnay"..yes.

Pairing this with scallops wrapped in bacon & a little apple chutney sauce.

Remarkably Chardonnay with lovely yet soft caramelized butterscotch savory notes from the use of well balanced oak which plays perfectly with the seductive fresh apricot, and white peach.

A rare and refined expression of Napa Valley Chardonnay, this small-production gem from Kelham Vineyards showcases the elegance of dry-farmed fruit and a vigneron-driven approach. Aged in neutral French oak and partially undergoing malolactic fermentation, it takes cues from Chablis while staying true to its Californian roots.

Delicate white flowers and lemon curd lift the nose, while the palate reveals beautifully restrained tropical fruit and a whisper of candied mandarin. Remarkably fresh and focused for its age, this 2015 is graceful, structured, and quietly powerful. A true artisan Chardonnay textured, terroir-driven, and unapologetically distinctive. Seek it out if you appreciate purity over flash.

Drinking well and perfectly aged. Amber body, low acidity, and medium ML. Notes of apples and chalk. Delightful.

Balanced and light with little to no oak.

I'm giving this a good rating because I have had it before and it was tasty. Tonight's bottle had a perfect cork, but was really oxidized and off. Sad. Hope the next one is better.

Obvious ripe fruit. Apple, pear, pineapple. Clearly Napa valley. Butterscotch and caramel. Lots of oak.
