A vigorous and decidedly not jammy Zin. Classic spicy blackberry fruit, along with brambles and crushed rock on the nose. Leaner than most Zins these days and all the better for it. It’s fruity but has some drying tannins and a very slightly bitter note in the long finish, which was perfect to cut through rich braised short ribs. Only 13.8%!

Still pretty young. It will be interesting to see how it develops.

A lil too spicy for my personal taste, but still good.

Subtle, Syrah-like, not overblown and jammy. A great effort from Eric and one of very few Zins that would make me want to drink more.
