Ruby with heavy spice nose masking fruit. On the palate some blackberry fruit peaks through the strong pepper, herbal and oak flavors. Tannins are rustic and strong, doubtful they will soften this wine. Finish was off balance. Pass.

This delicious Washington Cabernet outdoes the previous vintage. It is rich and fruity, with deep plum, cassis, and pepper tones. The body is bright up front, making it an excellent food wine, but presents a complex mineral tannic structure in the silky finish. If superior Washington Cabernet is what you *truly desire*, buy a case of this stellar value! 😈🍷

This medium bodied red is refreshing and bright, sporting lots of cherry, blueberry, and plum fruit, with nicely restrained oak. It paired well with spicy poblano steak and onions, providing a pleasant complement along with some welcome cooling.

This Cabernet may have a perfect pairing - perhaps spicy Asian beef? - but as a cocktail wine it was not to my taste. I tried it fresh from the bottle and decanted, but I cannot get past the Zinfandel-like jamminess nor the slightly astringent acidity.

This excellent cab is fruit-forward with bright cherry flavors and a touch of black pepper spice and toasted oak in the finish. It is nicely balanced and medium bodied.

While this Cabernet initially seemed heavy on the caramel oak, upon decanting the dark cherry and chocolate flavors shone through. It will likely benefit from aging a bit, but is a wonderful cocktail wine right now, given a bit of proper decanting.
